W E E K E N D    R E N D E Z V O U S

my oldest sister surprised my other sister courtney and i with a little weekend getaway to catalina island. the weather couldn't have been anymore perfect for our little trip. it was so nice to be able to relax and explore the island. all of us girls live pretty busy lives in different ways and we dont always get a chance to spend time together one on one. sometimes you forget how important it is to do that with your siblings if you have them. i know i take for granted having my sisters, you get so used to seeing them here and there that you lose track of how much time has gone by or how you didn't know certain things about them that you thought you did. its important to catch up every now and again even if just for a moment. 

going to catalina for the weekend was something i think we all needed in our own way. it will probably be the last little trip i take before i become a mom and have freedom to do things. it will be something that i will always cherish with my sisters. 

P O O L   T I M E

we are currently spending the weekend at chad's boss' house but in all honesty its like a mansion compared to ours. for the most part it has been rainy and dreary which is something i normally would love but given that they have a pool any ounce of sun i would kill for. today though its going to be pretty nice so i have been soaking up every second of it. it feels as though its been too long since i have been swimming. i might have gotten carried away with the water pictures. forgive me.

t r a m p o l i n e     a d v e n t u r e s

on our saturday ventures chad stumbled upon a trampoline for sale so guess what? we now own a trampoline. i forgot how much i freaking love trampolines, chad and i have a many a plans for this little pup. lemme tell you though i forgot how much trampolines can kick your butt. i managed to sneak in a few pictures before the sun went down chad is a lot more graceful then i am. have a fabulous saturday.

f r i d a y

chad and i have friday's off together so we usually do a bunch of random things to occupy our day. the weather today couldn't have been more then perfect. grey skies in the morning filled with a slight breeze and peeks of sunlight throughout the day. we took little samson to the park to run around, had some tasty lunch and i finished knitting my scarf
i somehow through all our gallivanting managed to get chad to take some photos with me. of course i really only got one good photo before it turned into "lets do jumps in the air and ill launch myself off this chair" type of thing. i'm not good at jumping. don't judge.

l i f e   l a t e l y
i think what i love the most these days is lying in bed on early brisk mornings. i love staying curled up in bed, making sure to keep my toes out of all the cold zones. oh! and samson of course snuggling by my side. getting out of bed when the sun is still low in the sky and the horizon splattered with shades of blues and grays. i usually find myself glued to my wall heater flipping back and forth so both sides of me get equal attention, mowing down an overflowing bowl of honey nut o's. we both love me not working as much. its been so sweet to simply enjoy living outside of the office walls. i decided to cut off all my hair for a little spice in life as well. its so invigorating.
